How to set up and organize your permit book (part 1)

February 17, 2010

Running under a tight schedule and you get pulled into the scales. It’s vital you get moving again. Having your permits in order will help you get done and back on the road.

This entry will show you how to set up and organize a permit book so that you can easily locate requested information, and be on your way quickly. Putting together this book takes little effort, but will save you vast amounts of time from this moment on.

Here are the things you will need:

  • One 1-1/2 inch three-ring binder (heavy duty kind).
  • A package of sheet protectors (matte, not glossy). Look for the kind that have the three holes separate from the page so you don’t have to poke holes in them.
  • Zipper pocket insert.
  • One spiral 8-1/2 x 11 inch spiral notebook (50 to 70 pages).

You can locate these items at any office supply or discount store. WalMart has excellent buys on these particularly during July and August when they run their school supply specials.

Next, we will show you how to set up the first two sections of the book.
